Since turning to the arts as a full-time artist, Hassan Golbon has created well over 100 artworks. His threaded paintings since the time first presented in Tehran Art Expo in 2006 have received much attention inside Iran, and his original artwork is displayed in museums and galleries.
He was born in 1964 and he started to work as an artist since 1984. He has a bachelor’s degree in sociology. He is the founder and the manager of the Martyrs Museum in Shiraz, Iran from 1988 to 1992.
Moreover, he was the president of the Ministry of Art and Culture’s art administration office in Fars Province for two years from 1997 to 1999 and the vice president of the Ministry of Art and Culture’s administration from 1999 to 2003. Afterwards he started his gallery (Golbon Gallery) and the Simabhonar Art and Cultural Institute in 2006.
Golbon Gallery has had more than 10 exhibitions in European countries such as Germany (Munich and Passau), Italy (Rome, Palermo and Lecce), France (Paris) and China (Shanghai) since 2007 to 2009.
